Purpose
The Horizon Plus Programme was developed by our affiliate, ABP Poland, to strengthen the sustainability, welfare and efficiency of beef production across the Polish beef supply chain. A dedicated advisory team helps farmers improve production standards, while enhancing environmental outcomes and economic farm resilience.
Action
The ABP Poland Horizon specialist advisors provide beef farmers with hands-on guidance across key areas including animal welfare, beef genetics, proactive animal health management and responsible antibiotic usage. Nutrition support also plays a central role in helping farmers increase production efficiency while maintaining high welfare standards.
In addition, the programme promotes environmental sustainability by encouraging practices that reduce emissions, enhance biodiversity and align with regenerative agriculture principles.
Through farm audits, tailored advice and ongoing education, the Horizon team works closely with farmers to improve performance on the ground.
Impact
Through the Horizon Plus Programme, ABP Poland is delivering consistent improvements in production efficiency, welfare outcomes and environmental performance.
