PRISM 2030 (Programme for Improving the Sustainability of Red Meat) is ABP’s flagship initiative supporting producers to build more profitable, productive and sustainable livestock enterprises.
Designed with producers, for producers, PRISM 2030 delivers clear, actionable insights into on‑farm performance. By combining modern data science with practical farming expertise, the programme enables informed decision‑making that improves efficiency, resilience and environmental outcomes. Continuous improvement sits at its core, turning data into decisions and insight into action across ABP’s supply base. A strategic partnership with Harper Adams University underpins the programme, ensuring academic rigour and practical relevance.
Action
Over the past three years, PRISM 2030 has partnered with 310 ABP producers, supported by a £1.5 million investment. Participants receive tailored performance reports, access to targeted grant funding to drive focused on‑farm action, and a strong knowledge‑exchange programme. Webinars and on‑farm events are designed to embed learning, accelerate uptake, and drive new and innovative workstreams directly into farming businesses. This hands‑on approach ensures insights translate into measurable change on farm.

Looking ahead, ABP will scale the insights, tools and proven approaches from PRISM 2030 across its wider supply base, moving from pilot impact to system-wide improvement.
