Purpose
The Sysco Regen Farm was created to show what is possible when farming practices are designed to restore soil, enhance biodiversity and improve long-term sustainability. The goal is to establish a model farm that showcases the full potential of regenerative systems in an Irish context.
Action
ABP and Sysco began working on a regenerative farm in Co. Tipperary under a five-year partnership that brings together the expertise of both organisations. The farm acts as a testing ground where key regenerative farming practices are applied, monitored and refined across six core areas: livestock responsibility, soil health, water quality, crop diversity, biodiversity and farmer education. Through this collaboration, farmers gain access to practical examples of regenerative methods that can be shared across the sector.
Impact
The ABP Sysco Regen Farm is demonstrating how regenerative agriculture can enhance efficiency and sustainability at farm level. Improvements in soil function, increased biodiversity, more resilient crop systems and strengthened farmer knowledge are helping shape a clearer pathway for the future of low-impact, high-performance farming.
By leading with evidence and showing the tangible benefits of regenerative practices, the partnership is creating a regenerative blueprint for farms.
